  • Bikram Dasgupta

    Bikram Dasgupta is currently the Founder and Executive Chairman, Globsyn Group, with interests in Education, Information Technology and Skill development. An alumnus of Harvard Business School and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Mr. Bikram Dasgupta is among the early pioneers of the Indian Information Technology Industry and has witnessed the emergence of the Indian IT Industry from garage start-ups to billion dollar behemoths. The emergence of Indian Information Technology industry saw the birth of a generation of first time entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs with no family history of business enterprise. This generation was marked by their ambition and fierce determination to change the order of things. They innovated, they disrupted and they brought in new rules into the game. They lived by their instincts.

  • Jawhar Sircar

    A retired Indian civil servant, Jawhar Sircar has 42 years’ experience in Administration, and is equally well known as a Researcher, Publisher of articles, Author and a Public Speaker. He last served as CEO, Prasar Bharati from February, 2012 to October 2016. He is currently associated with many Cultural & Academic Institutions where he holds regular Talks or Presides over Events & Meetings. He has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the prestigious Centre for Studies in Social Science, Calcutta (CSSSC). CSSSC is a Premier Research institute that has hosted numerous Foreign and Indian Scholars of the highest order and undertaken path-breaking research & publication in important disciplines of Social Science.

  • Sohag Sen

    Sohag Sen’s association with theater and allied media spans a period of almost forty years. She started her career as a director in 1978 and formed her own theatre Ensemble in 1983. In fact, she is the second woman director in Bengali theater history, after Tripti Mitra, and has directed plays by dramatists as varied as Mahesh Elkunchwar and Botho Strauss. Her contribution to theater has been recognized by awards, including the Paschim Banga Natya Akademi Award for Theatrical Excellence, and the Lebedov Award.

  • Rudraprasad Sengupta

    A Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee, Rudraprasad Sengupta is among the most famous theatre personalities of West Bengal.He joined the group Nandikar in 1961 to lead the dual life of actor and adaptor of plays. His adaptation of Pirandello’s Six Characters in Search of an Author i.e. ‘Natyakarer Sandhane Chhati Charitra’ was the first major hit that Nandikar and Ajitesh Bandopadhyay as director achieved. Others works, spanning Euripides, Brecht, Arthur Miller, and Arnold Wesker, made him the most consistent as well as prominent director in Bengali theatre working on foreign drama. He also developed as a fine actor. The father in Six Characters was his earliest success, but he did best of all in anti-heroic or somewhat malevolent roles, maturing into Miller’s older paternal characters in the 1990s. A long-term advocate of theatre as a career, he formed the Calcutta Repertory Theatre with Sombhu Mitra and other major actors of Kolkata in 1980.

  • Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar

    Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar is among the most popular sarod players in the world today. A pupil of Ustad Bahadur Khan, Tejendra Narayan Majumdar is one of the leading exponents of the Senia Maihar gharana, a musical ‘family’, which has gifted us such giants as Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Khan. His musical journey started out early in life. His grandfather, Bhibuti Ranjan Majumdar, and father Ranjan Majumdar provided early inspiration and guided the young prodigy through his initial years. Later, he went on to become the disciple of the distinguished sarod maestro Ustad Bahadur Khan and embarked on a path of rigorous training that was to last for eighteen years. Tejendra has successfully developed a unique style of playing incorporating the dynamic instrumental approach, tantrakari with the melodic, lyrical vocal style known as gayaki. His success in blending these two styles has made him one of the most sought after performing artists in India and abroad. To add to his excellence he has been felicitated with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for the year 2018 this year.

  • Chandan Sen

    Chandan Sen is a prominent Bengali film, television and stage actor. A student of Utpal Dutt and Ramaprasad Banik, Sen began his acting career with Bengali theatre. In 1997, he joined Natya Anan theatre group as a creative director and actor. Some of his notable works include Byomkesh Phire Elo (2014), Taan (2014), Abar Bomkesh (2012), Chora Bali (2011), Hatey Roilo Pistol (2011), Tara (2010), Madly Bangali (2009), Phera (2008), Refugee (2006), Abar Asbo Phire (2004) and Bow Barracks Forever (2004). Sen is popularly known for his appearance on the television shows. He is the recipient of award for Best Villian Role of the year (1998) and Exceptional Talent of the year (1999). Sen`s recent film was Mahanayika (2016) and Conditions Apply (2016). His 2019 release includes Kidnap. Chandan Sen is among the very few notable actor/director on stage, who has got a keenness and depth of perception about stagecraft.

  • Kaushik Sen

    A versatile and a thinking man’s actor, Kaushik Sen is today a celebrated name across Theater, Film and Television. Based out of Kolkata his is also the director of the well acclaimed theatre group Swapnasandhani. The son of actress Chitra Sen and actor Shyamal Sen, he has won the prestigious BFJA awards for best supporting actor for his performance in the Mrinal Sen directed film Aamar Bhuvan. His recently acclaimed works include acting in the Oscar nominated film Lion (2016) and also for his role in Zulfiqar (2016) and Byomkesh (2014).

  • Tanusree Shankar

    The founder of Tanusree Shankar Dance Company and an exponent of contemporary dance forms in India, Tanusree is among the leading dancers and choreographers of contemporary dance in India. She has evolved her own modern idiom by marrying traditional Indian dances with modern western ballet expressions. She has been inspired by her lineage as much by the folk and regional dance forms of India.

  • Debojyoti Mishra

    A passionate composer- arranger whose music truly transcends boundaries, Mishra has been the musical soul of the directorial deliveries of internationally acclaimed and nationally celebrated filmmakers in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh…..the list is ever growing.Mishra has been a regular composer for feature films since 1992. His first venture in films was through ‘Kahini’ by director Malay Bhattacharya. Prior to this Mishra was connected to films as a violinist. In Satyajit Ray’s classics like Piku, GhareyBairey, Phatikchand, and Ganashatru Mishra played in the capacity of a lead violinist. Theater has always been Mishra’s core passion. From his school days when Mishra would actively write scripts and direct plays, theater been yet another aspect of Mishra’s creative manifestation. Since his early days of music-making, Mishra has been composing for stage acts.

  • Sohini Sengupta

    One of the choicest actors on the stage of India, Sohini, started theatre under the guidance of her parents Shri Rudraprasad Sengupta and Smt Swatilekha Sengupta. She has been associated with Nandikar, Kolkata, since 1996 and has acted in several plays directed by Shri Rudraprasad Sengupta and Shri Gautam Haldar, namely, Sujan Badiyar Ghat, Gotraheen, Nagar Kirtan, Bappajiditya etc. She played a supporting role in Aparna Sen’s film Paromitar Ek Din (2000), for which she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2000 National Film Awards. Sohini Sengupta has also received the Ustad Bismillah Khan YuvaPuruskar in the year 2007 for her contribution to theatre.

  • Sagnik Sen

    Born on 18th, November, in Kolkata, West Bengal to Late Swapan Sen and Abha Sen both of whom shared a deep passion for music. His father, gifted with a deep & mellifluous voice had great love & respect for Hemant Kumar’s songs and Rabindrasangeet, which he kept on practising on a regular basis. It is from his father, that Sagnik inherited his love and devotion for the genius that was Hemant Kumar. With an uncanny and gifted ability to sing in the voice of Hemant Kumar, Sagnik’s debut music album was released by Sagarika Music, in the year 2008, followed by albums from HMV SaReGaMa, Prime Music, Golden Voice Entertainment, etc. He came into the limelight when Music Director Devjit Roy gave him his first break and the opportunity to sing in one of Bengal’s reputed TV channel’s show, ‘The Legends’, in 2015. It was instantly a superhit program and Mr. Roy gave him more TV shows, which were all immensely successful.
